I doubt the accuracy of this report.
1) nwa.com lists no such promotion
2)Frank DeWitt is not the CEO of Northwest Airlines, not is he listed as ANY senior officer

Doubt all you want...this post is a journalism class exercise. :) But I'm flattered that you found it realistic! I'm sorry about the confusion. How did you find me?
Oh dear, I guess I need to use a fake airline name, don't I? (This exercise is based on real news story from a year or two ago...but of course that means it's no longer current.)
Good decision to paraphrase the quote, but tighten up the title and use broadcast style:
